BundleGuard Help

1. Let the first scan run. When you open the app it reads every fixed bundle (created with Shopify Bundles or a bundle app that uses Shopify's bundle components) and the stock of each component.

2. Read the dashboard. Three tiles summarize your bundles: At risk now, Warnings, and Healthy. Each bundle card shows how many units are truly buildable from component stock and lists any issues.

3. Fix the issues it flags. The common ones are a component whose inventory is not tracked, a component set to "continue selling when out of stock" (both let a bundle sell with nothing behind it), a component that is out of stock, and drift between the bundle's own availability and what its components allow.

4. Add kits Shopify does not know about. Click Add a bundle, pick the variant you sell as the kit, then pick its components and how many of each go in. BundleGuard watches it exactly like a Shopify bundle: same checks, same alerts, same Auto-protect.

Auto-protect is off by default. Turn it on for a bundle from its card, or turn on Protect new bundles automatically in Settings. When a protected bundle can no longer be built from component stock, BundleGuard sets that product to Draft so it disappears from your storefront; when components are back, it sets the product to Active again. It only ever restores products it drafted itself, and it never touches a product you set to Draft by hand. The dashboard counts every save as an oversell prevented.

The first time you use it, Shopify asks you to grant the app permission to edit products. Until you accept, the toggle explains what is needed and nothing is written.

With access to your order history, BundleGuard measures how fast each bundle and component sells over the last 30 days and shows, per bundle, roughly how many days until it runs out, which component is the bottleneck, and how many units of it to order to cover the next 30 days. Bundles running out within a week are flagged as warnings.

Revenue at risk is the value of orders your store would accept but could not build: the bundle price times the gap between what Shopify shows as available and what components can actually support. With sales velocity it becomes the coming week's sales of bundles about to run out.

In Settings, turn on Email me when a bundle becomes at-risk and enter the address. Set the warning threshold to the buildable quantity at which you want to be told, for example 5 units. You get one email per new issue and no repeats while it stays broken. Bundles are rescanned automatically every day and whenever you open the app.

Slack. Paste an incoming-webhook URL in Settings and use Send test message to check it. New at-risk bundles and Auto-protect actions are posted there as well.

Shopify Flow. BundleGuard provides a Bundle became unfulfillable trigger with the bundle product, its title, the buildable count and the bottleneck component, so you can build your own workflow, for example tagging the product or notifying a channel.

Weekly summary. Every Monday you get one email with bundles watched, bundles at risk, oversells prevented, revenue at risk and the three soonest run-outs with reorder quantities. Turn it off in Settings.

BundleGuard is available in English, German, French, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Italian and Spanish. By default it follows the language your Shopify admin runs in, so most merchants never have to choose.

To pick a language yourself, open Settings and use the Language setting: choose a language to use it regardless of your admin language, or Follow my Shopify admin to go back to the default. The choice applies to every screen and to the alert emails it sends. Product names, SKUs and anything you typed are never translated.

What does "buildable" mean?
The number of bundles you could assemble from current component stock: for each component, available quantity divided by the quantity the bundle needs, and the lowest result wins.

Which bundles are covered?
Fixed bundles that expose their components through Shopify's bundle data, plus any kit you add yourself with Add a bundle.

Does the app change inventory or products?
Only if you ask it to. With Auto-protect off, which is the default, it reads bundles, products, inventory levels and order line items and writes nothing. With Auto-protect on for a bundle, the one thing it changes is that product's Active/Draft status. It never changes inventory quantities and never reads customer names, emails or addresses.

Why is a bundle healthy in Shopify but at risk here?
Shopify's bundle availability ignores untracked and continue-selling components. BundleGuard counts them as risks because they let the bundle sell with no stock behind it.

What is the price?
The Free plan shows the three bundles most at risk with buildable stock and risk figures. Standard is $9.99 per month, or $99.90 per year, with a 14-day free trial, billed through Shopify: every bundle, Auto-protect, email, Slack and Flow alerts, and the weekly summary. The App Store listing is the authority if that ever differs from this page.

What happens to my data when I uninstall?
Shopify tells the app to erase your store's data after uninstall, and BundleGuard deletes its bundle cache and settings.
